A Critical Analysis of Vijay Tendulkar's Major Plays

The book is the study of Vijay Tendulkar's major dramas in the context of themes, characters and dramatic techniques. Tendulkar's plays deals with the issues of gender inequality, social inequality, power games, self-alienation, sex and violence. He portrays the contemporary society and the predicament of man as well as the complexities of human character. He exploited man - woman relationship in his works. In short, his plays highlight three major issues - Gender, Power and violence. The book, it is hoped will be appreciated by students, researchers and teachers.

Dr. Beena Mahida (M.A., Ph.D.) is a former Principal of Anand Arts College. She has worked in 18 years in the same college. She was NAAC Coordinator in the first cycle of NAAC Assessment.
